What Are the Labs About?!

Tech Lancaster Practical Labs give participants the opportunity to get hands on with electronics. Labs are available to participants at all levels and the aim is to get a feel for electronics – including manufacturing/assembly skills and some basic design/prototyping activities with breadboards.

IPC Training

Where appropriate, some partipants will undertake certified IPC training which will include:

• JSTD001 – Soldering training

• IPC610 – Assembly inspection and problem identification training

• IPC7711 – Soldering rework and repair activities

Participants will be invited separately to these training sessions which will take place in Lancaster.

Instructor Guided Labs

If you have been invited to participate in instructor guided labs – including breadboarding – please visit the online learning platform at https://learn.tech-lancaster.org.uk/, sign up if you have not already done so and there should be a practical module (TL2P) available.
